Of Birds & Bread
30th November 2008
On 30th November 2008, Super Yoga Kids organized a trip to the Lake Gardens Bird Park and High Five Bread factory for 40 children. Under the supervision of 15 adults the children had an interesting and informative excursion to these two places. When interviewed, here’s what they had to say…
Q:Where and what time did your ‘adventure’ begin?
A: Everyone met at Brickfields centre on Saturday, around 8.30am to catch the bus.
Q: How long did it take you to get to the Bird Park?
A: It took only 20 minutes and we got to spend 2.5 hours there before heading to the High Five Bread Factory, where we spent another 2.5 hour learning all about bread and its history
Q: What was the highlight of the visit?
A: At the Bread Factory, we learnt all kinds of interesting facts about how bread is made especially sandwich bread. At the Bird Park we fed the birds and familiarized ourselves with the different characteristics of the various species of birds. Who would have thought birds have personality too!
Q: Did you get any souvenirs at the end of the trip?
Yes! Every one received a goody bag filled with bread, buns and cakes. Also we got a Hot Wheels toy each and a cute animal shaped toothbrush holder. Thank You SYK…
